I have one teeny serama chick that hatched on June 8, and I didn't think it would hatch tbh, the egg was only slightly bigger than a coturnix egg. The other seramas that hatched from that set are all much bigger and have already gone to their new homes.

I am keeping this baby, and had it in my large brooder with Japanese bantam and bantam cochins that also hatched the same day, but everyone else got bigger and have started accidentally beating up on him because they'd step on him or sit on him.

I didn't want to isolate him, so I put him in with my day old silkies that are all more than double his size...is this ok??? I did notice the day olds pecking and chasing him!

What do you suggest? I can't keep him alone :(

At 2 weeks old he's 26 grams. Eats and drinks well otherwise a healthy albeit tiny chick.

Pic is of him in with my day olds. And a pic of him next to my smallest day old. And what he weighed last week!

How adorable. 🥰

Would it be possible to set him/her up with just one or two buddies, ideally the most docile of your silkies? I've had little OEGBs in with large Orpington cross chicks and they seemed to get along just fine. It was just when they were older and the greediness of the Orpington crosses kicked in - then the littlies better not be between them and food or they'd get stepped on.
