well about 3 mounths ago i got my frist serama trio and both of the hens set on eggs so i got 3 more hens and a rooster and now all of my serama hens have 9 babies and even one of my first hens that set and got babies left the babies with one of the other mothers,so shecould set on more eggs i went from 7 to 47 in just 3 months how can i stop my serama hens from haveing babies i just do not have room forso many
has this ever happend to any of u

I use my scoop to lift them up and sneek the egg out so I don't get picked. Just collect the eggs every day. Just because a hen is broody doen't mean you have to let it hatch everything it lays, lol. My two went broody but couldn't hatch the eggs (the roo kept getting in the nest and bothering them. I have since changed their whole set-up but I am NOT letting them set on any. I have incubated and hatched 8 myself though, lol).

Yes.

I said no more chicks until november, but as I speak I have 3 broody seramas.

i have the solution to all your problems.....just gather up all the chicks and send them to me:D i have been looking for seramas but no1 in my area has them:/

Pick the best for yourself and give the rest away or sell them as tiny pet bantams on Craigslist! People here will take all the tiny roos (or hens) they can get. I wouldnt say "Serama" unless you are giving one that has great type and will improve the Serama gene pool though.....

Boy, I wish that would happen to me! I've had my girls for a while now, and they have yet to lay ANY eggs what so ever
