Serama not laying

I have a 14 oz serama pullet. When I purchased her they said she was 7-8 months old. She is still not laying. What should I do?

How long have you had her? She should start laying when she is recovered from the change and feels at home. I don't think there is anything you can do to hurry this process.

It's still a little early. She may not be feeling the Spring urge yet. Are you giving extra light? If she's alone, I suppose you could try the plastic egg in the nest trick, to see if she'll take a hint.

I got her some time in September or October. I have not provided and extra light. I will try the fake egg in the nest.
