Hi all! I reccently got my first flock of seramas several months ago and this will be my first winter with them. I live in Arizona, and we usually only have a couple nights that are close to or below freezing. Normally it gets down to 40 or 39 degrees farenheit. Right now it's starting to cool down, about 55 degrees as the low. I know seramas don't tolerate cold as well as other breeds, but I wasn't sure if they would be OK here or if I would have to put some form of warmth out there for them? My silkies just have a little area that's protected from the wind, and that's all they've really ever needed.
Thank you!

They should be fine at those temperatures. I keep small bantam like d'uccle and the handle -20. I don't think seramas are that fragile, though I haven't had any. If you see excessive shivering for more than a day or two than they may need help.

our winters are so mild I'm not going to worry too much. however, that being said, I do have a cage ready for them should the temp dip down so I can bring them in the house.

upon further research, my chickens are not seramas, they are dutch bantams. however from what I read, they are similar to seramas
