i've just brewed some Lipton tea to warm my hands before candling the eggs. does Lipton tea smell like horse manure to anyone else? seriously, it smells like horse crap. EXACTLY like it... is it just me?

I use Luziane, but i use it for iced tea. I noticed that different kinds of black tea have different aromas. My kiddos happen to dislike Lipton too.

oh, i like lipton... i just realized that it had a funny smell. not sure if i'll drink it anymore.

Maybe you tea is old! I just opened a box, and it smells like tea to me!!
I know what you mean though, I have tried some others and flavored teas that have had that horse manure smell!

I noticed that with my current box of Lipton's green tea. I can't get it past my nose. Not sure why but I just composted the rest of the box after the dh made the same comment.

I haven't been able to drink tea here since I returned from abroad in '95. The English and the Turks have ALL the good tea. What we get is flavourless crap.

The Tetley British Blend is pretty good if you can find it. It is US or Canadian.
