I made a candeler today out of a coffee can, black masking tape and a 60 watt bulb. It works well. I'm finding some interesting results.
I'm seeing different levels of development on the eggs on the outside perimeter than the eggs placed in the center, directly under the fan. The perimeter eggs are not developing as fast. It is no wonder hatches are staggered, taking some chicks 20 days and some 23 days. I'm wondering the effects of moving the eggs around at day 8.
I'd like to put the slower developing ones in the center and move the more develped ones to the outsides.
Here are some pic's. They are a little blurry, my camera doesn't like auto focus/ macro/no flash. The next set of photo's I'm going to try manual focus.
This one is on the perimeter.
And a video.
