Setting 5 Turkey Eggs today...eeek

I am going to be setting 5 Slate Blue turkey eggs today from my own turks. This will be my second attempt at incubation. The first time was an utter failure. This time I went and got an electronic hygrometer and have been experimenting with the humidity because I am 99% certain that was what killed my last batch. I am excited and fearful all at once....eeek.

I have incubated turkey eggs myself with no problem However, I find that the hatch rate is much better if you let the turkey do it: or a Muscovy duck. However, it is awfully late to be hatching turkeys; at least where I live in the deep South. I wish you all success. saladin

Just curious...why is it late to be hatching turkeys? I am not planning on eating them for Thanksgiving??? I am needing to replace my tom who has decided that my DH is the devil and chases him around the yard. I have a hen sitting on another 7 turkey eggs. The other turkey hen was sitting on them but I have a mean broody hen that stole them from her.
