Setting Eggs 4/28. First time!

We got our Havo Bator today. Set it up. Tomorrow we are going to pick up our 41 Aracauna eggs and see how it goes. We will keep you posted.

Update... A neighboring Farmer just brought me 7 Turkey eggs. Would have been more but something got the others. gonna try to hatch with my chickens.

just set 45 quail eggs this morning, is that close enough....I see your signature says you have wyondettes, one of my favorites, I have silver laced and gold laced all chicks right now from 4 weeks to 8 weeks...

I set turkey eggs on the 18th, and silkie eggs on the 25th. We will only be a few days apart!

I have some chicks we got from TSC that are Wyandottes love them. We are setting 35 Aracaunas this afternoon. Can't wait to see if this works...LOL
I also love the response from this group so glad I found it.

Just set 35 Aracauna eggs... Picked them right out from under the hens... Can't wait to see how this goes. Keeping the temp between 98 and 100 F. So excited. I do have a few pictures to add as soon as I can.

Update on Eggs....
4 more days till we remove the egg turner (do I continue to turn eggs or is this considered lock down and do not touch?)
We will also be adding more water for maximum humidity. 7 more days till they hatch. I tried to candle well Not a clue what I was looking at...LOL.
Temp has been consistently of 99.1 to 100 degrees and Humidity about 50% Throughout the incubation.

Ok, We officially are in LOCK DOWN!!!
Took out the egg turner and added water, now we just wait till Friday.
Next few days set up inside brooder for new chicks.

I have 2 eggs with small holes and hear chirping Do I leave them alone and just wait?
They have been like that since 11 am Thursday.
