Setting eggs via almanac

Does anyone here use the almanac in deciding when setting eggs?

I have but only recently and I can't report any definitive results but would like to follow this thread.

I set some bantams this spring using it. However, three days before chick day a rat snake got to me eggs and ate every one. Still don' know how that snake managed to get to me little hen.
