My lavender bantam cochins have been laying for a while now and looks like they are fertile. Only one way to tell for sure and that's to hatch some. So I'm going to set some of their eggs along with some of my silkes and LF cochins. Should hatch around Valentine's Day. My bator is behind me now warming up.

So I sit 30 eggs, lavender bantam cochins, silkies in blue and black and a few LF cochins. Can't wait to see what my lavenders are going to look like. I have 2 different lines in the lavenders and I have a black hen and a barred frizzled hen in with the roo also. They are just the sweetest birds I have, love to get in my lap to be petted.

I'm on day 19 and have 2 pips this moring. My first batch of lavenders! I'll post pics when they start popping out.

I now have 10 babies and lots of pips. I got a new color in my silkies looks like a splash maybe.

MUST. SEE. PICTURES.

Don't tantalize us with just talk about cute new fuzzybutts - let us see them! It's still the middle of winter here in Wisconsin, and I need to see some chicks to brighten up my day!

Soooo..... are you going to the swap in Ocala on the 20th?????
