So it’s an older incubator and if I remember right I always struggled with they temp. So I’ve been writing readings the last few hours of the lowest and highest I’m getting. I’m not using the original thermostat as it broke. I’m using a digital Due (reptile) and a normal digital environment thermostat. The reptile one is hanging just above where the eggs would be and the other is laid flat on the tray.
digital due:
over the space of 20 minutes it was 39.9, 5 minutes later it was 39.5, 5 minutes later 39.3 then dropped to 39.1 then 38.9 for a few seconds, back to 39.1 and now at 39.2.
On the Brinsea manual it says for hens needs to be ideally 39.2 for hens and measured from the top. Does the readings sound about right or are they too high? Just can’t seem to change it without it being a drastic difference. How do I get an average temp reading?
Thank you
