Settling in...

Hi everyone
I am a very new duck owner, had my two appleyards for a week and a half now. I am like a new parent, watching everything they do & wondering if it is all 'normal'. So far they seem happy, they are eating well, love splashing about in their pond, do alot of preening & are foraging nicely in the garden. But neither of them have laid any eggs as yet. The chap where I got them from said they might not lay for a few days.. so my question is, how long can it take for them to feel really settled to start laying?

Depends on the ducks could be any day may take a couple of weeks . But if they are females they will lay.
