Our eggs should be arriving today. They are being shipped to my work so one more ride after mail delivers them. I know to let them settle overnight before putting under broody but my question is should I just leave them in the box or do they need to be in a particular position? I may put some in a bator if that makes a difference.

Anyone?

personally I take them out of the box so they can breathe. I don't think position matters any.

Yes, I take them out of all the packaging and let them rest on the counter, no positioning.

I would take them out of the box and candle them one by one. Look for hairline cracks and look at the air cells. Then set them in an egg carton big end up and let them rest on the kitchen counter overnight. I've just gathered this from endless reading this sight, lol. Hopefully the more experienced can give better advice:)
