Our girl began losing feathers in Sept. '19, and has continued to do so, with no new feather growth. Many of her other feathers look terrible! These are all the things we've RULED OUT:

-Feather plucking, by her or anyone else
-Any sort of parasite, internal or external
-Dietary deficiency
-Broodiness

She was quarantined for about a month, strictly on a feather-fixer food, with no change. She acts just as normal as every one of our other ladies, lays her eggs regularly, eats, drinks, bathes. We're at a loss!

She may have originally suffered from some feather picking and some feather loss from being mated. But when a hen loses a lot of feathers, it may take until the next yearly molt until new feathers grow back. She has a small breast blister, that may be from a rough roost or from lying on the floor. If the roost has caused it, you can wrap the roosts with a soft material. The blister may be treated with betadine or another antiseptic.
