Hello everyone.
Sellers make only ''sex links'' not others, only because of able to tell sex by chick colouring?
Just as far as I know, if I had bought these egg layers, if I breed them, in next generation I got stronger, healthier chickens.
My Idea would be, just to mix egg laying breeds, Im looking to buy eggs for incubation, from lot of, mainly egg laying breeds which lay 160-280 eggs per season. And mby in some day starting selling them, overpowering others these sex link sellers.
My knowledge wrong or not: They lay 350 eggs, first year, and then like less in each year, like 250 in next year, 200 in 3 years of old, and then even less after 3 years of age, 100-150, and eggs come with defects.
So, these pure breed layers, as sussex, amrocks, RIR, australorps, these lay more than 200 eggs per year, even more than 250.
So, I guess they ley these 200-250 like all they life, mby even first 5 years? Can this be true?
There is a list of breeds im gonna buy. I have egg laying hens offsprings, so I am looking to mix them,
my guess is, if for example Barnevelder lay around 200 eggs per year, then mixing it with RIR, the offspring gonna lay way more.
4 gab, Vorwerk
2 gab, Barnvelder
2 gab, Lakenvelder
3 gab, Wiandotte
1 gab, Aurakana
2 gab, Brekel
1 gab, Amrock
1 gab, Leghorn
2 gab, Faveroll
3 gab, Andalusian blue
2 gab, Australorps
1gab, RIR
2gab, Kulang
3gab, Orloff
Thanks for your time.
