The New Hampshire with Barred Rock will get Barred Males and Black Females....At hatching you can determine the sex because the males will be black with a white spot on the head, the females will be black with maybe a trace of reddish brown......At maturity the males will be barred with some reddish brassiness but not finely barred as in Rocks...The females will have varying degrees of reddish/brown near the breast and neck...Should be good layers if your parent stock lays well....The Light Sussex cross will produce white male chicks and reddish females...Same for the Silver Laced Wyandottes but the combs will be rose if the females have rosecombs...There have been cases of single combs from rosecomb parents.....I don't know very much about New Hampshire crosses with Buff Orpingtons or Black Australorps...........There is a thread on here somewhere that explains this scientifically....My notes are from personal experience.....I think the thread has something to do with someone named Punkett or Plunckett....Just google a bunch of terms about this subject..Try googling "Punkett Squares".....Something will come up...Take Care.
