A LOT louder than a crowing quail…pretty loud. I hear it everyday. You’ll get used to it though. It’s really not THAT bad for me, but it could be heard a long distance away. They also crow many times a day.

I recommend welsummers (if they sell older chicks it’s much easier to differentiate), or sexlinks (Although they don’t live as long)

Yes. Even bantams can be heard pretty far away

Same, even my neighbors hear it…they seem to like it though.

One of mine has roosters too, one is never home anx the other has baying hounds that run in front of ypur cars and they moved in after we got our males, so no one has room to complain. Plus if they want to shoot giant guns until 5 in the morning, I'm going to enjoy my roosters crowing in the day
