I would love some help trying to sex my Lavender orpington chicks. They are about 3.5 months old give or take. There are 18 of them so individual pictures weren't going to happen but I did attempt to get pictures of combs, wattles, and tail feathers. I have some I know for sure are roos and a couple I'm pretty sure are pullets but everyone else is kind of a mystery to me. I've been on this site before looking at other people's posts to try and learn but I'm at the point where I need help. I didn't realize how hard it is to take pictures of chickens. 😆 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The ones that still have small, pale combs and wattles are very likely to be pullets.

I'm not seeing any male specific feathering on the ones with larger, redder combs either, but it is difficult to tell because the feathers are so shredded, which is something that happens with lavender birds.

My hunch is that these are all pullets but definitely get more opinions.

That's why I'm so confused. Most don't have a lot of comb and wattle development but their tails aren't very uniform so I'm struggling to tell on my own. Thank you for your input!

How are they looking? Would love to see an update!
So update...I appear to have ended up with 12 hens and 6 roosters. I'm super happy with those odds. Unfortunately I don't have any recent pictures but I waited until they were a little older to make sure we definitely have the right sex on them.
