Sexing 4 week old chicks!

So here are my three chicks, I know it’s early but, I’m excited and curious.

I see at least two cockerels, as evidenced by their large, bright combs. The one in the first pic and at least one of the buffs. The other one seems to have a large comb, but no color yet. If its also rather bright and not an orangy yellow color, then its a cockerel as well.

I suspect #1 and #3 as males...where did they come from?

You know, that’s what I was thinking. Dang, I was hoping for at least one lady!

Straight run. I was expecting males and hoping for just one female. Maybe that was foolish of me.

I agree with @SueT post! The one that I said 'could' be [a cockerel] 'could' also be a pullet! You were right, its early yet... some cockerels like to show off their combs early!
