hi! Brand new chicken mom here and first time posting. Recently got this sweet buff Orpington and named “her” lemon. Her hatch date was 8/20 and we got her from a reputable breeder in our area who guarantees sexing with a return up to 20 weeks from hatch date. I’ve read that BOs are really hard to sex. Lemon has us puzzled- the feathering seems different from what I see online for a pullet but she’s also so much smaller than the others on her same hatch date. She is the only buff orpington we got, though so hard to compare. I know it’s too early but if anyone has any strong inclination rooster vs hen I’d love to know! I’m very attached already 🥹 thank you!

Too young to say yet. Look for the comb and wattles get large and red if it's a male. Post again when it gets to about 6 weeks old, sometimes it takes longer to tell, but that's a good starting point.
