Sexing by noise?

I have three week old chicks when i was in there coop checking up on them i accidently sneezed really loud and they all ran to me and huddled by my feet. Is this a sign of female chickens or at this age would they all run like that. I heard that only the females would run. Anyone Know?

The sneezing thing is an old wives tale. It all depends on the individual chicken. For instance, I have two roosters that are afraid of anything. They run like crap then hide behind the hens. And then you can have brave hens. Fearless tomboys that run straight into danger without a cluck. Hope that answers your question!
