Oh wait, yes, my theory is wrong; the high-chested chicks are starting to act like hens. Sorry to all I fooled; it was just a theory

But I have another one: Bald-looking chicks are females, and the ones that don't look bald are males.

Ex:

That one looking at me: Female

Also the one looking at me: Male

That theoretical male is very bossy so take note!

Sorry about the blurred pictures of the male. Take note of the male: the eyes are deeper into the skin than the "fur" on top of his head or body.

If my theory is correct, then we have 4 females and 1 male. I would like this, because more females, more eggs (and maybe chicks)! Oh, they're meat birds, so how unfortunate.....

Again, it's just a theory

Wait! Both my theories are wrong! The bald-looking and low-chested chicks are acting like roos! I saw 2 of them flapping their wings at each other, then stare at each other with their necks extended. I thought they were hens! I suck!

I hope there will be more techniques on sexing chicks........i'm out.

I hope my eyes are tricking me... why do the white ones look like cornish crosses? That large protruding rear extensive sitting and large body vs wings is scaring me...

I'm the same way. I always have straight-run bantams and I start "sexing" them from day one.

I've got week old chicks right now and I write down all my observations. I'll go back when they've grown and see if I had any idea what I was talking about. Sometimes I do.

I just hope I don't fall below 50%!!!
