Sexing Chicks...With An Iron Nail?

So, yesterday someone told me that he was hatching out 1000's of chicks for sale. He claims to be able to hang an iron nail at the base of a day old chicks comb, if the down raises up, it is male. Says he is 95% accurate.

Never heard this before.

What do you all think? Maybe the same thing I do.....
