I have a male white leghorn that fertalized a RIR and a Black Austrolope. I am trying to figure out how to sex the chick's. I read some articles and boy oh boy am I confused. Does anybody know what I should look for given the breed of birds to determine the sex?

There is several sites that show you how to feather sex them. Those breeds should be good for this method. The hens will have short, long, short, long on the primary, and secondary wing feathers. The roo's will all be short and same length. https://survivalfarm.wordpress.com/...er-sexing-day-old-chicks/pullet-rooster-wing/

That was what I needed to know. I read allot but it's confusing. They say the females are grey and males are gold but the hens have a black spot ect.... I will stick with the wing thing and how for the best
