Sexing French Red Legged Partridges?

Can anyone give me any pointers as to how to tell males and females apart when it comes to French red legs??? I am assuming they are very similar to chukar in terms of sexing?
When I used to have chukars(its been 3 yrs already since I had those last, time flies....) I used to go by the shape of the spurs. Oval shaped for females and round for males right? Although some were just obvious just by over all shape and behaviour.

I believe the male has a spur.The male is slightly bigger then the hen.In N.H.,Tony.
