So i picked up these two little ones today for $40. The guy had four, i picked the two I thought were peahens. Compared to the others the had much less barring. Can anyone help me confirm that I picked correctly. They are India Blues for my male that I have. THanks!!!

Yeah, I am excited!!!!! My male is a three year old that I traded for some red golden babies. He is my first. I got the girls today after finding them on Craiglist. They are currently in a small dog cage inisde of the males pen. I want him to get used to them before I let them loose with him. He is always picking at the pheasants and guineas in the pen next to him. I cdompare the barring on their backs to tell today, the other two he had still had a lot of back barring so I figured they were males.

Check out the first picture in this thread . These three seem to be a little younger than the two girls in this thread, so the two girls(in other thread) still have some of the barring. The girls lose this barring pretty rapidly as they grow. By 3-4 months girls are mini-copies of adult peahens of the same color.

Notice the male also seems to have a lighter back.
