Hatching
1) I have 4 khaki campbells that are about 7 weeks old. They're nearly fully feathered, and they're "guaranteed" to all be female. So far they all look pretty much the same, so I was wondering if anyone knows about when they would start showing signs of being male, if any of them are.
2) Right now I keep them in a wire pen at night, with a large plastic tote for them to huddle in. They're pretty big for it, and need they're own house. Something simple and movable. Any ideas? Also, since they will pretty much only use it at night, and khaki's always stick close to each other, how big does it really need to be? The standard is 4sq ft each, but that's pretty big for 4 little khaki's. I've read Storey's Guide, but his setup is really for a big flock. Also, our girls have full run of the farm (though there are only 3 places they really hang out) during the day, so they won't have a fenced run or anything. We just want to be able to move it around, and be small enough to hide behind the greenhouse or something so our guests don't see it. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks.
