I know that the males are supposed to be larger than the hens. Mine are about 7 weeks old and I have 12 straight run. I took some pictures of the group (they’re a bit unsure of me still so they group up). Mostly males, mostly females? I’d say the brown tall/large one is definitely a male as is at least one of the mainly black ones.

Any input is appreciated!

I’m no good at sexing Muscovies, but you have an adorable group there. I love the wing nubs!

Edited to add: when faced with the same question about my two ‘Scovies, I learned that boys have bigger feet, thicker legs, flatter/wider tails, bigger bodies overall, and boys get flight feathers slower than females. Good luck figuring it out!

Also those little ones may be a bit too young to know for sure?

This one looks to have much thicker legs and seems to be male. So, I would use him as a guide.
The pics would need to be separate, front shots with legs and side shots with legs to be certain.

Yeah that’s the black one I assume as male. The brown central one is similar stature.

Like I said, they’re still warming up to me so it’s hard to get individual pictures. Thanks for the input though!

The white one beside him has thinner legs, so maybe use that as a guide for your females.
Are they all from the same flock?

Yep, same flock. I assume both white ones are females (smaller build/legs). There’s a lot of chocolate ones that are not quite as big as that black one or as petite as the white one so maybe will be able to see better in a week or so. Or at least get them separate for photos to compare. I’m planning on using them as bug patrol since we have a bad stink bug infestation this year and soon to be slugs too. Plus acres of crickets. These guys were raised free ranging by Mom.
