Sexing My Outside Crew

I’ve got my older chicks outside in their run and I was wondering if some of them could be sexed.




This is Pumpkin, one of the two Millie Fleur D’Uccles. (8wks)




Pumpkin’s on the left, their BFF Squash (8 wks) on the right who did NOT want to be photographed, with Silverado (light Brahma, 6wks, photobomber) in the middle. Which leads to…



Sunny (Sunny-Side-Up), who I am positive is a 8 week old rooster, but I’d like confirmation.



Next is Nosey Rosy (8 wks), a golden neck D’Uccle.



Finally Black Parade (bottom) and Helena (top) are 6 week old barred rock supposed pullets. I know it’s a bit early, but I figured I’d check. Please again ignore the photobombers: my thumb, Tundra (light Brahma, 6wks) and the silkies who are nearly 8 weeks (PeeWee-GusGus, Yeti, and Bigfoot, who, fittingly, you barely see in the upper left corner).

White Cochin is a male. Can’t see the Silkie well enough to sex. The rest are pullets.

All of the D’Uccles are absolute sweethearts, and love to perch on me every chance they get to check out my glasses and earholes—literally putting their beak in my ear!— to which I still don’t understand the fascination.

In my angst phase of middle school, I absolutely played the heck out of their albums. It just so happened the day I got them ‘Teenagers’ came up on my playlist and the girls matched the aesthetic.
