sexing peachick

There's not a good way outside of DNA sexing to tell for sure. I had a theory a while ago about the shoulder feathers that grow in around 2 weeks, but a few people posted pics and either everyone posted girls or I was not correct in assuming there was a difference.

I have recently begun to suspect that the shoulder feathers may still hold some indication about gender in split to white or pied birds, however, as I've seen at least 2 pictures this year of split to white birds with shoulder feathers that matched my boy's young feathers (which had not happened when people were posting pics of straight IB birds). With that in mind, your chick's shoulder feathers match my boy's. I'm not going to say that means it's a boy or a girl, I'm just saying they match. And I'd be curious to see what this one turns out to be, when you are able to tell for sure around 3 months.
