Welcome to BYC, that would be a good question for the goose breeders. Just put "Goose thread," in the searchbox above and it will come up for you.

Hi and welcome to BYC - i hope that the geese members can help you out.

Best wishes

I've never raised geese before (they're on my wish list). Hope you get the info you want from the members on the Geese forum.

Thanks for joining us!

! Pleased you joined us! I have a few honkers - Pom Saddlebacks, Chinese, and Toulouse - but I will admit to not being sure about their gender. I just kind of keep them around for the fun of it. Hope the good folks in the Goose Forum can help you out. Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC!!

They look like a pair. The one at the top is female. The bottom looks like a gander to me. Some more pics would help. Also there is a trick and it works well. A female has a deep voice and a gander has a high pitched voice, just the opposite of what humans should be. I used to have a trio of Tufted Romans, I have one female left.

I am confused because that means that the male would be sitting on the nest and the nest consists of 20 eggs
