I'm sure this thread is going to be fun, but...
I have a new flock about 9 weeks old. Most are black sexlink. The rest were mutts from a neighbor.( multiple roosters, multiple breeds of hens) I have been very visible since they were puffs. Now they are very friendly and like their chest and belly scratched. When you scratch their back they squat down and spread their wings.
I think I have a couple roosters in the mix. My question is, do only hens squat when scratching their back? Can this be a way of telling guys from gals?

That is a really good question . . . following for information.

No. Males will squat too. It's a sign of submission and you're currently in charge. They're young so it wouldn't surprise me if both the pullets and cockerels will squat for you right now. Things will probably change if you have a cockerel as he gets more confident.

My first cockerel would squat for pets. A few months later he started challenging me.
