Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a way to sex my single tenessee red.
I biught a pair in sunmer and one flew away and I've no clue which one is left. It gets along well with my male bobwhite but hasn't layed an egg but I think that may be due to being frightened too often (a new quail coop that's very private wil be ready by next weekend its a 33ft trailer my fiance gutted and has turned into a place for the quails with great custom cages where they wont constantly be seen by us.

I am fairly experienced with vent sexing courtnix and ducks, can this be done with the bobs?

I will post pictures today to see if anyone has an idea!

Btw in the last picture they do not live in that crate I was just using it to transport them to their new home in our new quail paradise (lol, its almost finished for everyone but their home is ready now!)

You can't sex these guys. With Tennessee Reds, the male and female look nearly identical. If she lays an egg, she is a female. If he crows his head off this coming spring, he is a male. :-)

So funny.

Ten min after posting these she layed her first egg as soon as I put her in the new quail area!
So she's a girl!
