SF Bay Area: Welded wire sources?

Hi All

Struggling to locate coated welded wire for a chicken run that is wider than 4 feet. I know they make it wider but most big box stores seem to stop at 4feet and the weight makes shipping cost prohibitive (costs more than the wire itself. Posting this in the hopes that someone knows of a place that carries it.

Have you tried any feed stores?

you might try M. Maselli & Sons in Petaluma... call first to see if they have it

I'm in Oakland so the only feed stores I've been to have, well, feed. Not so much on the non-food related supplies. I can try extending my search to feedstores further out if thats where I should be looking, I just didn't know if I was just looking at the wrong type of place

I just bought some 4' black coated welded wire from Home Depot. I fenced an area off for my chickens and I really like the way it blends in and you can hardly see it. The guy there told me that you can special order it in taller heights.

Yeah they told me the same but then the special orders guy said that their suppliers only carried up to 4 feet. I'm going to either buy 2 rolls and knit them together or I will just get bare wire
