Shade?

Gotta love Portland - in just a week i've gone from worrying about rain to worrying about too much sun!

What do you all use to provide shade in the chicken run? We had a garden umbrella set up yesterday and it fell over..... I was thinking of using some of that bamboo fencing stuff as a roof.......

Any thoughts?

It is beautiful weather we are having! So what about corrugated tin roofing panels. It would protect them from the rain and reflect the sun/heat. It does sound nice when its raining too.

I also use corrugated tin for covers on my runs. Works well. They really need some shade in the summer.
