One of my chicks is always shaking her head. It's like a somethings tickling her shake if that makes sense. But it's constant. Any suggestions?

I have one doing the same thing...... The other two are fine. I checked her for mites, swollen ears, any type of redness or irrattion etc... I think maybe her feathers coming in may bother her but I'm not sure...

I think that their fluff falling out and the new feathers that are forming bother some chicks more than others. I've had chicks that don't ever act bothered by anything and others that are constantly shaking their heads (noise can make them do that too) or scratching. I think it just depends on the chick and their level of sensitivity.

Thanks for the reply

I'm thinking that too since she eats well, drinks well, and acts normal otherwise. when we got her from the feed store, it was so crowded in the cage that sher and the others had been pecked on their backs. She getting her fluff and feathers back, but she preens so much! her head shaking is bettr today , so I will keep watching her
