..I have two 6 week old bantams and one 14 week old rescued meat hen. the babies have just started sharing the coop with her as of last night (the first night out of the house. I have thier starter food in different locations than her food, but she found thier food and they found her food (layena). Is this ok for them (and her) to share food?..HELP!

The chicken's food layena, has to much calcium for the chicks to handle, their kidneys will shut down and die. Why are you feeding a 14 week old laying formula just out of curiosity. It too, might be to much until she starts laying. If I had this much disparity between ages, I'd feed a flock crumble for like ducks, geese and wild. This way you have the higher protein without the added calcium. Good luck.

I am doing it because the stupid feed stores around here obviously no NOTHING about chickens..
