Your just trying to make me feel bad because I can't have any more chicks right now, aren't you?

I did go to Big R this morning on the way to the doctor & looked at all the chicks they just got in yesterday. They all know me really good & were not surprised to see me first thing at 7:30 AM.

This is their first order of 350 chicks from McMurry's & about 120 showed up dead. I told the guy that takes care of the chicks that I just couldn't deal with that. He said it is very unusual for there to be that many dead from them, although they will give credit for them. They sell several thousand every year.

It was so hard to leave with no peeping little babies. When I got back home I also decided to get it out of my system & take the 4 eggs away that Mo, our last Black Bearded Silkie hen was sitting on. She just went broody 2 days ago & I have been trying to decide if I would let he hatch them or not & because of the most recent problem with all the roos we ended up with from last year, I am out of coop & run areas till I can hopefully get some of them given away. They are beauties, but far too many roosters.

Thanks jimnjay, we appreciate your sharing.

Have a great day friends.
