She ate a staple off the floor

my bantam Cochin just ate a staple off the floor i the kitchen. The kind of staple that holds papers together. Should I do anything?

honestly, there's two ways to deal with this.
1: one solution is to imediatley take her to the vet for an x ray and posible surgery
2:another solution is to just let it pass. chickens have pretty thick stomach linings, and a staple shouldn't cause too much harm. chickens do eats gravel and sand , which can be almost as sharp as a staple. however, worst case cenerio, the staple cold puncture the crop or intestinal wall.

in reality, it's your call. i personally would take her to a vet

I agree with The chicken wizard. It sucks, and it won't be cheap, but I'd be afraid it would poke a hole in her organs and create much bigger problems. That's just me though, and I'm a worrier/kind of person who does ANYTHING for my pets, even if it costs way too much and most people would think I'm insane.
