She can't be laying right? She's 9 years old and already stopped at 7 years old

I've recently been finding 2 eggs in the nesting box the same day everyday. At first, I assumed our Wyandotte hen was having a small glitch that caused her to lay 2 eggs but then I was finding 2 eggs everyday which I know is impossible for a single hen to lay 2 eggs everyday.
Our senior BSL hen stopped laying 2 years ago and was even stuck in a molt that was really bad and lasted longer than it should have.

Our current flock consists of:
-1 Black sex link
-1 Blue wyandotte
-1 Serama
-2 Muscovies.

Is it possible that our senior hen has started laying again after not laying for 2 years?

YES! My 9-year-old EE stopped laying for a couple years and has just recently started laying again. She has an illness that I have been treating and it seems the treatment is working.

Oh yes, it can happen! We had a Buff Orpington that stopped laying for years. We got a new batch of chicks and not long after integrating them in with her during their teen years she suddenly started laying again. My theory was that all the estrogen in the air triggered her to lay again. :D

Coretta suddenly started laying regularly again after a two year pause this spring. Frankly, I was surprised that she was still alive at 8+ years old, so even more surprised when she started laying again! 😮 I’m in town, so no roosters, just the two girls. And my 4 year-old Austrolorp, Sadie, started crowing around the same time Coretta started laying. Not a nice cockadoodledoo - her “crow” sounds like an old woman screaming in pain. Very odd, root and twig.

Let’s face it: chickens are weird. But we love them. My Coretta jumps in my lap and instantly takes a nap. Then of course I can’t move until she decides to wake up, while Sadie stares at us sideways with that otherworldly intelligent piercing gaze. But I digress…
