she has surfer hair!

Hi there, I have a chick born yesterday with whispy, scattered feathers on her head that stick up everywhere and thick, prickly scarce feathers on her back. My roosters are Cochin/silkie x or pure silkie and the hen that laid the egg, I think, is a silkie/ Cochin x. The chick has five toes, so I’m assuming the dad was the pure silkie. Her feather pattern is so weird. I’m naming her Maui because she looks like a surfer chick.

Super cute! I have a cockerel named Maui...and pullets named Moana, Tefiti, Taka, and Pua. This is what happens when you let the kids name the chickens
