Hi. I have two nesting box and four chickens. One in ground level one in up on the first one. Nesting boxes actually enough for two chicken. But all of them enter to upper nest. Nobody prefer to enter ground nesting.
What is the reason it. Do you have any idea?
Thanks

Put fake eggs in both nests, and I'd bet they start to use them both.

This the nesting box.

Chickens don't like new things, you have to have patience and outsmart them.
Is that the new 'nest' box?
What's inside...are there windows for some light?

Is that new. Straw inside it. Upper cover and door take light a little bit. Maybe ramp is high for them? Can I took old nesting box and force them to use it?

Might be a bit steep, put a concrete block under the low end to make it less steep.

No...
Spread some treats on the ramp to lure them in.
Put some fake eggs in the new nest.
Put the birds in the new nest and close the door.

Where is the coop?
