Shed coop and run

Would love it if @CookBakerGardenerMom would come back and tell us how this worked out.
...and if snow is a factor.
It's working very well. The hens got used to the Best Nest box and I can highly recommend it. No snow in Sacramento, and I don't need to take any special weather precautions. We had our first set of rainstorms recently and the food is staying nice and dry under the extra long roof eave and it's plenty secure for any wind gusts. What I didn't account for is that keeping a little lock on the coop door seems to be a big flashing sign that says VALUABLE STUFF HERE and people keep cutting the lock to see what's inside (since it's in an open alleyway behind the house in the city). I finally gave up and stuck a twig in the hasp to make sure it stays closed and that has done the trick.

People suck. Next time you clean out the coop dump all the crap into an Amazon box and tape it back up. Leave it near the locked coop door for added effect - hopefully someone gets a smelly surprise and decides to stop snooping around your stuff.
