Shed for ducks

I did, but I don't have pics right now. What exactly are you wanting to know?

It's big, thick layer of pine shavings on the floor, and a ramp for them to get in. Don't let people tell you ducks are too stupid to use a ramp, those people don't have ducks.

We have been considering using a shed as a duck house. If we go ahead, we simply plan to put a tarp on the floor, covered with shavings and then a clump of hay in the corner which they can use as a nest. Because ducks don't need all the height space, we were considering putting up shelves along the back to store some of their things. The tarp would then be pulled out and emptied into the compost bin and fresh bedding applied.

I have a duck house that was built for ducks, but it is designed to be converted into a sturdy storage building if needed.

Ducks stay on the floor. I've got vinyl flooring down and sprinkle some shavings over that. On 2 walls is a very sturdy bench just the right size to hold heavy galvanized trash cans. My feed is in the trash cans and the nests are under the shelf and that is where the ducks lay their eggs.

There is also a shelf up high where I store equipment for the rabbits.

2 windows covered in screen can be opened on hot days and closed at night for additional security, Ducks go up and down steps to get into the duck house.

I will try to get pics later today as its been raining on and off. We have a large shed in the back of our yard we converted to coop/duck house. We had the chickens first and we sectioned off a 4 x 6 area and laid down some vinyl flooring. When we got the ducks we sectioned off a second area for them that shares one of the chickens walls. I was out of vinyl at that point so we lay a tarp down and put shaving over it. It saves the wood from the ducks water mess and every 3 days I drag the tarp out, dump the shavings and hose it off for an easy clean :) We did have a ramp into the shed and they did use it but we tore it down and put in steps which both chickens and ducks use fairly easily.

How do you clean the tarp in the winter months?
