I'm curious to know what a fair price for a sheep is. I know a guy that raises them and hes always complaining people are trying to rip him off and they want them for nothing. How much does a sheep go for these days?

Might have to ask on a sheep blog cuz this is a chicken blog.

Gotcha maybe someone here will own both and be able to be of more help. Is there a local fair or auction in area he can check to see what they are going for and why they get that price?

What breed is he selling? I regularly see the smaller primitive breeds (Shetland, Jacob, etc) going for $150-$200 each and the larger breeds like longwools going for around $300. High quality, registered breeding stock or sheep with fabulous fleece may go even higher. But that's here on the east coast. YMMV!

I think their just meat sheep. I'm not sure of breed. I know she doesn't sheer them. I think he sold everything and left the country though lol. Strange people.
