She's eating the eggs

Well, you can HOPE that is was accidental and they didn't do it on purpose because breaking a hen of eating eggs is near impossible, and they also teach the others to join in. If you find out she is doing it on purpose the best thing to do is seperate her for a while to see if she keeps doing it. Sometimes when they are seperated from the others they stop (at least mine did). Good luck!

Could be tho that they accidentally stepped on it and then they will peck at it if they see it's broken.

Well I went out to the coop tonight around 6:15 and I found a egg!!! I checked it and it was in perfect condition... So they didn't peck at it this time..

Can try swapping the egg with a fake one or a golf ball. They usually give up with trying to eat them after a bit because they think they can't anymore.

Make sure they are getting enough protein and calcium in their diet (free-choice oyster shell), a deficiency can make egg-eating more likely.

Could she - or he possibly think they are short on food supplies?

I keep my food dishes filled, and offer treats during the day, just to relieve boredom.

If they left that one alone they prob broke the other on accident (mind did that often) and chickens peck at anything...the thing about eggs is they LOVE them so they will munch it up quickly
