I have a hen that is limping. I checked her foot and there is no sign of trauma. No wounds to the foot or cuts that I can see. She does put some weight on it. I've checked for broken bones, no flinching at the touch and no swelling that I noticed. I noticed it yesterday.
Any ideas why?

I would set her in a nice, quiet place away from other chickens--could be anything(she may have jumped and sprained something, got injured by another chicken, etc.) Set her up with some fresh water and food. Keep an eye on her and give her time to heal. She'll most likely be fine in a few days, but try not to stick her out too soon--sometimes re-injuries occur all over again if placed out too soon. You can also add some vitamins to her water--I like to use Poly-visol vitamins(you can buy this in the infant or medicine section at basically any grocery store or walmart). Good luck!

It could be a number of things. Most commonly they do this from having a misjump off of the roost. It's good that she puts weight on it, though,

If she has to travel a lot, you might make it to where she can easily get to her food and water. If her limping increases, catch her up so that she doesn't travel on it so much and doesn't have to travel much for food or water.

Hope this helps for now!
