OK. So out of 60 eggs....
2 human error eggs lost
8 dead in shell
1 random chick death
3 deformed chick deaths (culls)
3 still attempting to hatch
22 empty/no development at all eggs.

Which leaves me with 21(24) chicks.

35% or 1/3 of the eggs showed 0 development. Is that normal for shipped eggs, or does this guy's fertility really stink?

The eggs were packaged really well, in nice soft foam shippers, big end up. None were damaged when I got them.

If I get 50% hatch rate I'm ecstatic. I have gotten both zero and 100%. A lot seems to do with shipping.

Were they shipped?

Just the act of being transported can damage them. The ones I got in foam had horrible hatch rates. I get better rates when they are individually wrapped in bubble wrap than packed in shredded newspaper.

I think you probably got about an average hatch rate. When I buy hatching eggs I'm always ready for nothing to hatch so I'm not disappointed.

Only had 1 set of shipped eggs. 1/12 hatched. He is my beautiful birchen roo. Copper maran eggs didn't hatch so I was disappointed.
If there's zero development I would gets the shipping did them in.

Thanks guys! I just wanted to make sure I didn't get jipped LOL. It's my first time hatching shipped eggs. I didn't have high hopes, but I'm glad that the chicks I got made it. Sorry for y'all's losses it sucks. I know I was sad to see so many potential babies not there.
