Shipped eggs

If I ever buy shipped eggs again someone hit me in the head. I have the second batch, not one chick.
 
There are so many variables on shipped eggs, I wouldn't do it unless I had the money to spare and preferably knew the sender.

They need to be collected and as fresh as possible. They need to be packaged right. The breeder birds need to be eating the right diet. The post office needs to actually get them to you quickly and without scrambling them. You need to let them sit still at least 36 hours. Preferably, it needs to still be cool outside, too. Even with all this perfect, you can still get messed up air cells and the chicks won't make it.
 
This last batch had no sing of life what so ever. I hatched a lot of eggs. These eggs were not fertile. The rooster was out to lunch.
