Shipped eggs?

You cant make a hen go broody

Well, the seller said he shipped the eggs on Monday so they are on their way! Mama Speckled didn't appear interested in the nest box so I put her back in with the chickens and hoped they wouldn't pick on her... when it started snowing last fall I put her and baby pea in with the adult pair or peas and they had been there ever since. But while gathering eggs a Buff Orpington got all ruffled and pecked at me so I put her in the cage, it looks like she wants to stay on the eggs. I went out the next evening to gather eggs and Mama Speckled was in a nest box and didn't want me to have the eggs. 20 hours in with the chickens and now she might want to go broody? Maybe I should try putting her back in a broody cage and see if she will set now, then give each hen 3 eggs?
